What an AI readiness audit looks at
We work from your real week, not a template. Two businesses in the same industry can end up with very different shortlists, because the first thing to fix depends on where your own time goes.
Most of the value isn't in the AI. It's in finding jobs that are frequent, repetitive and follow the same steps, then checking your data is tidy enough to hand them over. The audit looks at five areas:
- Phones: who answers, what callers ask, what happens after hours
- Admin: quotes, bookings, invoices, follow-ups and data entry
- Tools: what you pay for, what's used, and what connects to what
- Data: where customer details live and who can see them
- People: who does the work now, and what they'd happily hand over
Why the phones often come first
In many small businesses, the first thing the audit finds is the phone. Calls get missed on the tools, in a consult or after hours, and a missed call is often a missed job. As the AI division of Jortel, an Australian business telco, we know phones well.
If that's your top item, J-Voice Agent, our own product, answers every call in an Australian voice, books into Google Calendar or Outlook, and emails you the orders and messages. If it isn't your top item, the plan won't pretend it is.
What the audit doesn't do
It doesn't install anything or change your systems. It's a plan, not a build, and nothing locks you in: you can take the plan to anyone.

It's quoted after the first call, because scope varies with the size of the business and how many processes we look at. You get the price in writing before any work starts. The first 10-minute call is free.
It depends on how many people and processes are involved, and how quickly we can talk to your team. For a typical small business it's often a few weeks from the first conversation to the plan. The quote includes the expected timeline.
